GCC hails Bahrain’s security forces
MANAMA: GCC secretary-general Abdulrahman Al Attiya hailed the vigilance and competence of Bahrain’s security bodies in foiling terrorist plans in the country.
He praised His Majesty King Hamad for safeguarding the lives of all citizens in the kingdom.
Mr Al Attiya reiterated GCC’s anti-terror stance said that only co-operation and co-ordination in the region would help defeat terrorist acts.

MANAMA: GCC secretary-general Abdulrahman Al Attiya hailed the vigilance and competence of Bahrain’s security bodies in foiling terrorist plans in the country.
He praised His Majesty King Hamad for safeguarding the lives of all citizens in the kingdom.
Mr Al Attiya reiterated GCC’s anti-terror stance said that only co-operation and co-ordination in the region would help defeat terrorist acts.
Meanwhile, the two suspects arrested in connection with a terrorist cell in Bahrain have fully admitted the charges, a source at General Prosecution said.
It had earlier received a report from security forces confirming the existence of a cell plotting terrorist acts in Bahrain.
The suspects intensified contacts with the cell’s members abroad, travelled to an Arab country, bought weapons and ammunition and smuggled them into Bahrain.
Security forces succeeded in uncovering the plot and requested General Prosecution for an order to search their homes.
Acting on that, police seized two machine guns, a pistol and ammunition as well as papers on their plotted operations, computers, CDs, tapes, and bank statements from their homes.
