A SEMINAR on media monitoring during municipality and parliamentary elections will be held tomorrow at the Bahrain Medical Society, Juffair.
The event, which begins at 7pm, is open to media representatives, journalists, political societies, candidates for parliament and municipal councils, in addition to human rights activists and the general public.
The project on media monitoring is organised by the Bahraini Society for Public Freedom and Democracy Support in co-operation with the Arabian Group for Media Monitoring During Elections and the International Media Support, based in Denmark.

A SEMINAR on media monitoring during municipality and parliamentary elections will be held tomorrow at the Bahrain Medical Society, Juffair.
The event, which begins at 7pm, is open to media representatives, journalists, political societies, candidates for parliament and municipal councils, in addition to human rights activists and the general public.
The project on media monitoring is organised by the Bahraini Society for Public Freedom and Democracy Support in co-operation with the Arabian Group for Media Monitoring During Elections and the International Media Support, based in Denmark.
Experts from Yemen and Egypt will be participating in the project in order to present their experience and results of implementing the same project in their countries during the elections, in addition to explaining the international standards related to the work of media during elections.
The activities related to the media monitoring is ongoing on daily basis in which around 20 persons from Bahrain in addition to the regional experts are monitoring the Bahraini Media (Bahrain TV, Bahrain Radio, six Arabic daily newspapers, two English newspapers in addition to some popular websites and weekly newspapers and magazines covering the elections.
The monitoring will continue until December 1.
The results of the monitoring will be given in forms of graphs, statistics, figures and charts on how the public media covered the elections and the news of the political societies and candidates whether they are supporting the governmental agenda, independent or in opposition side.
