“The Minister for the Middle East, Alistair Burt, today spoke to the Bahraini Ambassador and reiterated the British Government’s deep concern about the nature of recent hearings and disproportionate sentences. He made clear that these were worry developments and emphasised the importance of implementing the National Dialogue recommendations, and the independent Commission of Inquiry.”
