As received:
“In Sanabis protesters say riot police attacked protesters and followed 5 of them inside a house. They cornered them, and started beating them. One protester says they kicked him twice on his back then a riot police said in a Syrian accent “kill them, burn them!”. One of the riot police kicked a cooking gas cylinder to the floor close to the 5 protesters and set it on fire. Flames started in riot police ran out. “They could’ve arrested us, but they wanted to burn us, they wanted to kill us” said one protester. A 14 year boy saw the fire and ran with other boys to try and put it out. Riot police stood at a distance and watched. Boy said “we thought they might come and help us, seeing the fire getting bigger. But suddenly they started shooting tear gas at us.” There was so much tear gas this 14-year-old boy fainted; the other boys carried him into a house. The boy who fainted says “other boys fell too, I never breathed tear gas that was this bad. I don’t know what happened to me”. While being shot at, more people still kept trying. It took them 2 hours to put the fire out. The house, 3 shops and 2 motorcycles burnt, One of the 5 boys who were caught inside the house is burnt very badly, his legs arms and face. The other boys thought he had died. Two other boys also have serious 2nd degree burns on their arms and legs. The boys here are still in shock, and the boys who put out the fire are still sitting outside the burnt house, resting. Not only did police start the fire with intention to kill, they watched as house burnt and shot tear gas at people who tried to put it out.”

In another case, a group of protesters entered the biggest mall in Bahrain, City Centre, and walked around chanting. People at the mall started chanting pro-government things back, but there were no confrontations. The security forces then raided the mall, dozens of women were arrested, humiliated and beaten. Around 30 are being interrogated today, their lawyer was not allowed to join them in the investigation and they were not allowed to see their families. Police raiding the mall: twitpic.com/6p9de3
Lawyer Reem Khalaf witnessed the arrests, but was escorted outside the mall by the police with police dogs, and they threatened to arrest her and break her car.
Some of the arrested: Reem Jassim (19 years old), Rawan Jassim (13 years old), Ola Isa (31 years old), Khadija Isa (39 years old), Durra Isa (35 years old), Fatima AlJishi (20 years old), Ashwaq AlMuqabi (17 years old) and Aqeela AlMuqabi (20 years old). Picture of them after they were handcuffed: photo.
Bahrain state television brought back Saeed AlHamad, who had led the campaigns of naming and shaming protesters on Bahrain state television, who were then usually arrested. He today spoke about the rioters who vandalized the mall, and terrorized the regular Bahraini’s, calling them agents of a foreign country. None of those who formed groups and chanted pro-government slogans were arrested.
In his segment on television Saeed AlHamad, by order of the Ministry of Interior, projected pictures of protesters asking “loyal citizens” to call and identify them.
We are now seeing more people, those considered ordinary citizens, calling for killings and bloodshed, due to state sponsored sectarian campaigns led by the media, especially Bahrain TV.
