At the end of the program “Assemblage of Arab Journalists for Defending Human Rights”, Mr. EzzAldin Alasbahi, president of the Information Center for Rehabilitation and Human Rights, honored the well-known Bahraini blogger and active member of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights, Sayed Yousif Almuhafdah, founder of the “Say no to silencing” blog. Almuhafdah participated in the program that the Information Center for Rehabilitation and Human Rights held in Beirut, with the participation of a committee of 5 specialists in human rights from the Arab world.

At the end of the program “Assemblage of Arab Journalists for Defending Human Rights”, Mr. EzzAldin Alasbahi, president of the Information Center for Rehabilitation and Human Rights, honored the well-known Bahraini blogger and active member of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights, Sayed Yousif Almuhafdah, founder of the “Say no to silencing” blog. Almuhafdah participated in the program that the Information Center for Rehabilitation and Human Rights held in Beirut, with the participation of a committee of 5 specialists in human rights from the Arab world. The committee evaluated all thirty blogs which had been submitted to choose the best six. Bahraini blogger and active member of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights Almuhafdah received second place amongst all the contestants. He then participated in the ceremony led by the High Commissioner for Human Rights for the Arab region, Mr. Fateh Azzam, in the presence of numerous bloggers, human rights defenders and Arab officials.
The program had been launched in the middle of last year with a regional workshop aimed at founding a network for bloggers and journalists for human rights called “Speak”. This network consists of several departments specialized in monitoring human rights and freedom of speech violations in the Arab world as well as other departments dealing with the legal aspect.
It is important to note that the well known Bahraini blogger and active member of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights, Sayed Yousif Almuhafdah, has participated in numerous conferences and human rights workshops in the Arab world. He has represented a few international organizations in many of the conferences and human rights meetings locally and internationally.
