The Interior Ministry yesterday vowed to crack down on rioters and saboteurs, regardless of wrongdoers or their underlying motives. “Law breakers, saboteurs, rioters and instigators targeting people and private properties will be held accountable,” Public Security chief Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani warned.
He was speaking as he received a delegation of Malkiya villagers who vowed to stand up to outsiders who mastermind acts of sabotage in their areas. Shura Council member Habib Makki also attended.
The villagers vowed to co-ordinate with the authorities in enforcing His Majesty’s directives.
They also stressed their total allegiance to Bahrain and keenness on national security and the core of Arab and Islamic values.
The instrumental role of the family in spreading awareness among youngsters’ and steering them away from saboteurs was highlighted.
The indoctrination of children and novice youngsters to recruit them as saboteurs, exploiting their inexperience and innocence was also condemned.
“Such ill intentions represent a violation of the children’s basic rights,” they said.
