MANAMA: The Prem-ier early this morning condemned the killing of a policeman after a patrol car came under attack by masked men in Karzakhan.
Last night’s attack, in which Molotov cocktails and stones were used, was a serious and unjustified threat to security, he said.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa ordered security forces to step up efforts to capture the perpetrators, stressing that Bahrain has always been an oasis of security and stability.

MANAMA: The Prem-ier early this morning condemned the killing of a policeman after a patrol car came under attack by masked men in Karzakhan.
Last night’s attack, in which Molotov cocktails and stones were used, was a serious and unjustified threat to security, he said.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa ordered security forces to step up efforts to capture the perpetrators, stressing that Bahrain has always been an oasis of security and stability.
Conveying his condolences to the policeman’s family, the Premier said the government would take steps to prevent such acts from recurring and urged people to follow true democratic practices.
Proper channels were now available for people to air grievances, under the reform project initiated by His Majesty the King, he said.
Two other policemen were injured in the attack.
Sources identified the dead policeman as Bahraini Majid Asghar, according to our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
An eye-witness said he saw a policeman lying on the ground before another patrol car carried him away.
MP Jassim Al Saeedi also condemned the criminal act and accused clerics of instigating sectarian rift.
