They appear in some of the videos, made clandestinely in the Al-Sanabis area north of the capital city, Manama. The videos show masked men wearing civilian clothing, carrying automatic weapons, roaming neighborhoods.
As is clear in another video clip from Jidd Hafs, another majority Shi`ite area in Bahrain, men who are believed to be elements of the “Fadayeen of Saddam” are seen together with Bahraini emergency forces made up of men of Jordanian, Syrian, Yemeni and Pakistani nationality.
Aafaqp_coms publication of the names of officers and members of the “Fedayeen of Saddam” militia who fled to Bahrain raised a storm of sharp criticism of the Bahrain government for making use of this terrorist militia to suppress demonstrators. The ambassador of Iraq in Bahrain, Ghassan Muhsin Mohammad, has denied the presence of “Fedayeen of Saddam” in Bahrain. Nonetheless, the Director of Criminal Evidence in the Karkh section of Baghdad, Col. Atef Sadoun, has confirmed that the names published by Aafaq are correct.
The Interior Ministry of Bahrain has denied the existence of “armed militias” in its ranks. And the Department of Legal Affairs in the Ministry told the “Arab Times” that “there is no truth in what has been published in this matter, and there are no militias from Iraq.”
