Nedal is a Bahraini human rights defender who previously headed BCHR’s Women & Children’s Rights Advocacy. She is also the convenor of IFEX & also the Vice President of the FIDH. She is the president of Mena Media monitoring group & voting or associate member of various organization like CIVICUS, Association for Women’s Rights in Development AWID, Global Network for Civil Society Organizations GDNR, WHRDMENA-Coalition and others. Nedal is residing in Bahrain.

Kristina Stockwood is a human rights advocate and consultant based in Canada with over 30 years of experience with human rights NGOs and independent media. She was Chair of the Advisory Board of the Gulf Centre for Human Rights (GCHR) from its founding in 2011 to 2019, and is now GCHR’s Fundraising and Development Manager. Specialising in campaigns and advocacy, support to human rights defenders, women’s rights and freedom of expression, she also provides support to human rights NGOs in the Middle East and North Africa. She is on the Board of the Bahrain Centre for Human Rights (BCHR). Previously, she worked for IFEX, the international freedom of expression network, for 20 years until 2014. Her journalism background includes Senior News Editor at the McGill Daily, news editor at the Montreal Mirror, and writer with Lies of Our Times, a media criticism journal. She holds an MA in media studies from the New School for Social Research in New York.
